A wonderful spaghetti dinner

When you think of a small community that comes together to help one another, Grand Valley is quite a loving and caring community.

After a car accident on June 3rd sent our son-in-law, Derek Legue, to Sunnybrook Hospital with multiple serious injuries,  Randy McClelland, friends and neighbours of Derek and Melissa, along with the Grand Valley Lions Club, organized a Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction to fundraise  for him.

On July 11th, at the Grand Valley Community Centre, we enjoyed a wonderful spaghetti meal and desserts, thanks to the ladies in the kitchen.

We would like to thank everyone who shared in this event.  All the volunteers who donated their time, all the businesses who donated prizes, gifts and food for the Silent Auction and the dinner.

Everyone has been so generous, your love and support has been helping Derek and Melissa to stay strong and positive, through this life-changing incident to their family.

All our families have been overwhelmed and grateful for all the love and kindness everyone has shown; we would like to again thank you all for a wonderful fundraiser for Derek.

Jim  and Beverley Brown and family,

D’arcy and Sylvia Lichti and family.
